An Apalachee High School student penned an emotional rap following the deadly shooting inside his school earlier this month.

A phased reopening of Apalachee High School, the scene of this year’s deadliest school shooting, is scheduled to begin September 24.

Apalachee High School is planning a “gradual reopening” the week of Sept. 23, the school announced Friday — more than two weeks after police say a student shot and killed four people at the Barrow County campus.

The deadly shooting at Apalachee High School which claimed four lives on Sept. 4, including assistant football coach and teacher Ricky Aspinwall, will never be far from the minds of the students and faculty that survived that horrible day.

On the morning of September 4, a student rode the bus to his Georgia school with a rifle and knife hidden in his backpack, investigators said.

The Sept. 4 attack killed two students, Mason Schermerhorn and Christian Angulo, both 14, and two teachers, Richard Aspinwall, 39, and Christina Irimie, 53.
